Hotel Whala!Bavaro! Dominican Republic

Updated: Oct 15, 2019

On flying into Dominican Republic we really didn’t have any “plans”. We knew we wanted to stay by the beach so Eriks uncle drove us to Bavaro. We looked on booking.com and saw a nice Hotel with a beachfront view and gorgeous infinity pool.

We stumbled upon Whala! Be very aware of which one you book as they all share the name Whala! It’s the one in Bavaro we stayed in. We opted for an ocean front view for an extra of $20 a night! What a bargain. it includes a buffet breakfast and dinner(food was ok nothing typical Dominican very americanized).

The hotel itself was beautiful. Lots of security at night to keep trespassers out. The rooftop had an infinity pool over looking the beautiful ocean and a small sushi bar as well. We visited in March and we were surprised that not a lot of people where there.

The pool Was mostly to ourselves. the room was also quite large with a king bed and a very nice bathroom.

We also had a balcony viewing the ocean which we drank our coffee in the mornings. The crashing of the waves definitely puts anyone to sleep.

The hotel also has a small gift shop and a spa area you can take advantage of. In total there are 3 different pools which you can lounge by. One of the pools located by the building by the beach offers a bar with unlimited drinks(while we were there).

If you were looking to stay at a hotel in Bavaro I would definitely consider Whala! Bavaro as the employees were extremely nice and always willing to go an extra step for you. the rooms were clean, noise levels are very low, security is great and the views are everything!
