Staybridge Suites Naples-Marco Island
We recently spent the weekend at StayBridge Suites Hotel in Naples, Florida. Upon arriving to the hotel it looks incredibly modern, clean and well kept. We later found out that the hotel actually opened August 2019, so yeah it is new. Haha.
Upon walking in they have a adorable little “Naples Passport” brochure which tells
you of some of the things you can see/do while you visit Naples.
Another great thing about this hotel is that they do allow pets! So don't be afraid to bring the little furry friends!
We were greeted by Holley who was the front desk attendant and she welcomed us with a smile and so much enthusiasm. She was very knowledgable of the area and what we could do!(Loved the huge aluminum print of the pier on the wall).
We knew we arrived before our check in time by almost 6 hours(lol) but she called down Frank who is the Housekeeping manager and he told us our room would be ready as soon as possible. We told him no rush since we knew we arrived early and we would go for a drive. He said ok no problem and told us we can look around at the ameneties.. let us tell you, they had tons! We walked around the den which is a quiet seating area which the hotel provides books and magazines for you to read in a very quiet and peaceful area. They have a gym with tons of equipment and weights(p.s. all of the machinery has internet connected so you can connect to social media or watch youtube).
So about 10 minutes later we get a text message that our room was ready and to head to the front desk! We were given three keys, Holley explained that they were an eco friendly hotel that one of the keys would have to be placed into the card slot by the door to power the lights, a/c etc.
Before heading to our room we stopped by the hotels pantry and picked up some snacks!
They had everything from chips to ice cream and quick meals which was pretty cool. But we all can agree that we like the Almond Joy. (What's your favorite snack)
Us being us, we performed our room tour on IG, took some photos of the room and unpacked. The rooms were pretty large; we stayed in a one bedroom king suite. It had a king bed, and a couch with a pull out bed in the living room. A full kitchen WITH utensils, plates AND pots which was pretty cool because usually hotels that have a kitchen do not supply those! We inflated our floats(by mouth since we forgot a pump lol) and headed to the pool!
It wasn’t surprising that no one was in the pool it was a brisk 70 degrees outside! But we had to get our shots! The pool was not that cold to be honest it actually felt as if it was heated(we did not ask) but it was perfect. The pool also didn’t smell like it was full of chlorine which was pleasing. They also have a tiki bar by the pool and we were able to get some drinks.
The bar tender was also very amazing greeted us with a smile and told us the daily specials. We opted for what we typically drink and were surprised the drinks weren’t so expensive for being in a hotel!
We stayed in the pool area for about an hour and a half and went back to the room! It was almost dinner time and some of the cool benefits of staying at the hotel is that if you order from the nearby restaurants they can deliver the food to your door! This was pretty cool because we could of technically stayed at the hotel the entire time.
We later decided to drive around Naples and see what we could do. We went to the beach which is very different compared to the beaches we have here. The sand was really soft and the water just felt different on the Gulf of Mexico side. Erik forgot his camera at the hotel so we didn't take any pictures here. We ended up eating at a Mexican place called Don Tequila Mexican Restaurant. The vibes there were pretty cool as well with good food and bright decorations. But that's for another blog post!
We returned and had a few more drinks at the bar, during the weekends it is open until 12A.M. which gives you a good amount of time to order a drink and take it to your room and enjoy it.
We slept extremely comfortable in the new beds of the hotel. With plenty of pillows(important) and nice comforters. Erik woke up a little bit early to try and catch the sunrise and it does not disappoint from the fourth floor of our East facing room!
We then got ready (we liked that the hotel supplies you with shower gel conditioner and shampoo in full size bottles so you're not squeezing those tiny little bottles. Then we remembered seeing a sign on the elevator about the breakfast lines and wait times!- (that from 7:30-8:30a it is usually not busy and you can get food quickly!).
Unlike most "continental breakfasts" this one was a little different with a Custom creation Bar from Chobani and toppings for your eggs, and you could make yourself fresh waffles and tons of cereals to choose from.
We had an amazing time here, & we were even able to check out via our TV which was awesome because it speed up the process.
Definitely consider visiting this hotel when you are in Naples, it is about 45minutes from the closest airport but its 10 minutes from the beach! You could also visit Tin City which is a very cool little harbor area with awesome restaurants as well!
